Dancing in the Train

Dance Interrogations performance by Dianne Reid

Here's your chance to expand your experience of dance and enjoy a dancing on a train.

Diane Reid brings her unique, site specific and engaging dance performance to the space of Synergy Gallery in the Red Train. Her work is cutting edge, contemporary dance, intimate and immediate, thought provoking and fresh. Originally performed at Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe in 2012 and nominated Best Dance Adelaide Fringe 2012, 'Dance Interrogations is a boutique performance experience bringing the audience into forensic range of the body.' This piece has been re-interpreted for the space of the century old train carriage, now converted into an art gallery. This is the first dance piece to be performed in the space, which opened a year ago at CERES environment park in East Brunswick.

With performances Thursday till Saturday nights as part of the Melbourne Fringe and improvisations by some of Melbourne's best, as well as an exhibition of screen-based dance work during the day, there will plenty to see and engage with this Fringe festival.
